What I Like About Being a Villager
By LuCinda HaagensonPosted: 07/09/2023
I joined the Village in 2019 because I wanted more friends and more fun in my life.
I found the possibility of over 100 friends willing to join me in cultural and social activities.
I love learning about events happening or places to go. I then add them to the Village calendar and soon some others want to join me. I have enjoyed visits to art museums, including the Cheech Chicano Museum in Riverside with lunch at the Mission Inn. Also many kinds of musical performances including drum circle, jazz, opera and the Pasadena Pops at the Arboretum. We went to the poppy fields, visited the Hollyhock House, and offered a class in line dancing and cooking demonstrations.
I started a TGIF dinner group at different restaurants. I also enjoy the variety of educational opportunities.
I’m having so much fun and have so many new friends! I think I found what I was looking for.
