I am pleased to report that Pasadena Village concluded Fiscal Year 2025–2026 in a very strong financial position, despite the extraordinary demands created by the Eaton Fire and the unprecedented relief efforts that followed.

Total revenue for the fiscal year exceeded $1.1 million, in addition to more than $400,000 in Eaton Fire relief funding that had been raised during the prior fiscal year and carried forward to support this year's recovery efforts. Total expenses were approximately $1.3 million, with the Village ending the fiscal year with a surplus of nearly $300,000.

These exceptional results were made possible through the remarkable generosity of our Villagers, individual donors, business partners, and philanthropic foundations. We are especially grateful for the unprecedented support provided by FireAid LA, the California Community Foundation, the Pasadena Community Foundation, the American Red Cross, and many other organizations that recognized the critical needs of older adults following the Eaton Fire.

Individual contributions exceeded $84,000, representing the highest level of personal giving in Pasadena Village's history. We are deeply grateful to every donor whose generosity strengthens our mission. In addition, revenue from the Vintage fundraising event, grant funding, and program service fees all exceeded expectations. Continued support from our corporate partners and membership dues also played an important role in our financial success.

This extraordinary level of community investment enabled Pasadena Village to significantly expand its capacity during the year. We were able to enhance existing programs, launch new initiatives, and add staff to better serve our growing membership and the broader community during a time of tremendous need.

More than half of all expenditures during the year were dedicated to Eaton Fire relief and recovery efforts. This included more than $600,000 in direct cash assistance provided to older adults affected by the disaster. The balance of our expenditures supported the ongoing operation of the organization, including approximately 30% for personnel, 9% for general and administrative expenses, 3% for facilities, and 1% for professional services.

Given the significant volume of fire-related funding that has flowed through Pasadena Village over the past 12 to 18 months, many members have understandably asked about the organization's long-term financial health. I am pleased to report that Pasadena Village remains in an excellent financial position.

Two key indicators illustrate our financial strength:

Pasadena Village maintains three certificates of deposit totaling nearly $425,000, providing a strong financial reserve for future needs.
As of April 30, 2026, the Village reported net unrestricted assets of more than $540,000, reflecting a solid financial foundation and the flexibility to continue fulfilling our mission.
