The Villager Engagement Team Welcomed 54 New Villagers

The Villager Engagement Team (VET) has made great progress during 2025/26. The Village had 252 members in July 2025 and 287 members at the present time. We have 3 new members in the VET-Julie Sorensen, Patrick Oliva, and Lawrence Yu. 

Nancy Goodell has as always been very generous in hosting the Welcome Lemonade Teas at her lovely house. Villager & Volunteer Coordinator Nathan Wolford has been a tremendous help in guiding prospective members and new members in adapting to the Village and taking opportunities to engage in activities and to volunteer. We have held 6 New Member Orientations, helping over 30 of the new Villagers learn about our peer-support model. Often, we have gotten new members who have attended Meet Me At The Village. We have also contributed to the New Member Application revisions. Karen Bagnard and Bev Braun have hosted new members at their house. 

We are so grateful to outgoing co-chair Phil Hoge, and we thank Gary Smith for joining Jeff Gutstadt as new co-chair. It has been a productive year for us and we hope 2026/27 will be as successful or more successful than 2025/26.
