SOLO?

I’m not alone
I’m with myself
And therein lies a difference.
The mysteries
We think about
Are bathed in phosphorescence.
Though silence
Can be deafening
I do not find it lacking
For here within
My body and soul
There are two people talking
One says I’m surely
On a slide
That I am very old
The other says
There’s time ahead
To live and to be bold
When I listen
To myself
I sometimes feel inspired.
I get beyond
Those aging thoughts
That sometimes keep me mired
