If you would like to carpool, we'll meet at 8:00AM in Pasadena at Sunnyslope Park, at the intersection of Paloma Street and N. Sunnyslope Avenue. There is plenty of unrestricted street parking on Paloma.  For navigation you can use 2959 Paloma St.

At the Dam, we'll meet at 8:30AM in Parking Lot #2.  After paying the $8 vehicle entry fee at the Kiosk, drive down into the recreation area.  At the first intersection, make a LEFT.  Drive past Parking Lot #1 and at Parking Lot #2, make a RIGHT into the lot and park near the middle.  We'll meet there.

Here is a Google Maps link to Parking Lot #2:  Santa Fe Dam Parking Lot #2

Bring binoculars if you have them.  Our guide will have extras as well as a bird spotting scope. There are public bathrooms on site.

The walk will be led by Jodhan Fine, a birder and naturalist from Albuquerque living in Los Angeles where he just graduated Occidental College with a degree in Urban and Environmental Policy. He currently works as the Community Engagement Liaison for the Pasadena Audubon Society. Jodhan has been birding since 2016, and has led countless walks as a volunteer as well as several day trips for clients as a part time professional bird guide. Jodhan tries to bird abroad whenever he can, but locally loves searching for notable records and witnessing the magic of migration. Jodhan has seen over 2,000 bird species globally, and nearly 400 species in Los Angeles County alone. Outside of birds, he adores herpetofauna, especially snakes. Jodhan is a regional reviewer for eBird New Mexico, a New Mexico Bird Records Committee member, and an occasional author and editor for various publications. He loves the birding community and takes great privilege in helping foster new birders, naturalists, and environmental stewards any chance he gets.
