Sally Asmundson Art Reception
You are invited to Sally Asmundson and other villagers for a wine and cheese reception. Enjoyher exhibition at the Village Office featuring a wide variety of art. From glass art, to watercolors, to poetry, Sally does it all!
She had always been curious about art, being inspired by a third grade art teacher, but didn't really create anything until her forties. As a child, she would go with her mother to the Art Institute in Chicago every year and she was fascinated by the glass paperweights. She has also loved Tibet since she was a child, and finally got to go in 1987! There, she found the most beautiful turquoize and coral beads that became her first hand-crafted necklace. Later, she took classes in glass bead making and fusing, photography, and watercolors. She even made a speech at Toastmasters called: Renaissance Woman or Dilettante? Some pieces are for sale - ask Sally for pricing and availability.
