COVID-19, the flu, tetanus, and other diseases hit our oldest and youngest the hardest. Make sure your vaccinations are up-to-date to keep everyone in our community healthy.

Pasadena Village, a nonprofit organization that supports aging-in-place older adults, is offering free assistance for you to get vacinated to keep you and our community safe.

Pasadena Village can help you update your vaccinations. If you are over 60 years old and get vaccinated before March 22, 2024 (or while supplies last) Pasadena Village will provide a free $20 gift card in gratitude for you helping our community stay safe. Free COVID-19 Vaccines
Nearly all insurance plans cover the cost of COVID-19 vaccines. If you don't have insurance or your plan doesn't cover routine vaccinations, My Turn will provide a list of locations that offer vaccines at no cost for the uninsured.
All current COVID-19 vaccines are considered "updated vaccines" per CDC guidance.
You can get your COVID-19 and flu vaccine at the same time! Just schedule your COVID-19 vaccination and select the option to also receive a flu vaccine right before confirming your appointment.

Free Flu Vaccines
The CDC released guidelines this year that people 65 and older should get a higher dose or adjuvanted flu vaccine. Learn more on the CDC website. Huntington Health stresses that "it is important that Pasadena residents and our neighbors throughout hte San Gabriel Valley and surrounding communities take steps to guard against the flu."
Flu Vaccines for Pasadena ResidentsHuntington Health also offers free flu shots at their community clinics, but the standard dose will be provided, not the high dose recommended for people 65 and older. You can get information at the Huntington Health website or call 1-800-903-9233. Seek out the high dose flu shot at your local pharmacy or physician. |

In-Home Vaccinations
If you are home-bound or have difficulty leaving the home safely in order to get vaccinated against COVID-19, you can request an in-home vaccination from LA County Public Health.

Kaiser Permanente MembersIf you are interested in a in-home vaccination you can request one through your primary care physican or through the Kaiser portal. If you've been approved you will get a phone call from Home Health. Accessing Vaccinations
Check with your healthcare provider to see what other vaccinations you need to be up-to-date. You may want to ask about your risks for RSV, monkeypox, shingles, and other diseases during routine care appointments with your healthcare providers.
If you need help locating or arranging transportation to get vaccinated against COVID-19, the flu, or the immuniations, contact the Village Office at (626) 765-6037 or email info@pasadenavillage.org. We have free information and transportation available for you!
