These walks are brisk, three to four milers.  They are longer and more energetic than the Friday Urban Walks and will likely involve hills and a few stairs.  The goal is to get our heart rate up and maintain or improve our fitness level.  Walking levels will be a combination of pavement and unpaved walking paths.

We will meet on the large lawn area south of the Rosebowl Aquatic Center parking lot at 7:00AM sharp. If entering the parking lot from N. Arroyo Blvd, the lawn area is to the right.

This week’s walk is 3.2 miles and I expect we’ll be done by 8:30AM. The route heads south on a walking path to the Holly Street Bridge and up Holly to the intersection with Arroyo Dr.  We’ll head down Arroyo, walk through Desiderio Park and the grounds of La Casita Del Arroyo, continuing down to the Arroyo Seco Trail.  Heading south on the east side of the Trail, we’ll turn around at La Loma, cross the bridge, and walk back to the Aquatic Center on the west side of the Trail.

Bring water and consider wearing a hat!
