Karla Field will be exhibiting her beautiful range of art from her background in toy design, travels to Japan and influence from the sixties. You will see stunning line work, elegant designs and charming whimsey. She has a style that is uniquely her own and will capture your delight and your nostalgia.
Along with Karla’s work, Tom Reid will display his drawing of the dragonfly he is building. The drawing itself, with curled and frayed edges from being rolled up and unrolled repeatedly, has a charm and character of its own. We hope to be able to display this beautiful insect with its four-foot wing-span once it is completed.
She has worked at both Mattel and Hasbro toys for a combined 21 years and will be showing examples of her product design work as well as personal felt projects. Upon retirement and during the start of the pandemic she called upon up her illustration skills again and started producing artwork using bright colors inspired by her love of the 1960's.
