Sandy Krasner, an Altadena resident. will give a talk on how to Rebuild All-Electric (No Natural Gas) in the Eaton Fire Area,
The fire was both a tragedy and an opportunity. We have the opportunity to rebuild with carbon-free appliances (heat pumps, water heaters, stoves, clothes dryers, etc.) instead of natural gas.
All-electric reduces asthma and other respiratory diseases, due to burning natural gas in the home. It also reduces greenhouse gas emissions which cause the climate change that exacerbates the fires. Sandy will share information on available resources.
Sandy Krasner, Retired JPL engineer worked on many unique interplanetary projects and now leads the Pasadena-Foothills chapter of the Citizen Climate Lobby, lobbying federal and state legislators for climate legislation. He is also a member of the Pasadena 100 coalition, working for 100% carbon-free electricity in Pasadena. He has no financial interest in the products he will talk about. He is passionate about making the future better for his (and our) children and grandchildren.
