Join award-winning author Bonnie Armstrong in a conversation about her new inspiring memoir, An Apparently Normal Person. Commemorating Mental Health Awareness Month, Bonnie will share the mystery of how she learned about her dissociation, a survival mechanism that became a catalyst for healing. Bonnie is a well-respected educator and advocate for those living with the impacts of childhood trauma, including dissociative identity disorder and other trauma responses.
Bonnie is a member of Pasadena Village, a nonprofit organization connecting older adults, where she found support in her writing through one of the member-led memoir writing groups. Pasadena Village and Connect 2 Rise, a new community-driven initiative, are partnering on this program in their shared mission to combat loneliness and social isolation.
