Whether you are a regular on the Metro L (Gold) Line or haven't ridden public transportation since before the pandemic, we know there are a lot of questions about traveling safely. Join Carlos Hernandez, Principal Community Relations Officer, Rail Safety & Mobility Programs for a presentation on resources with Metro.
Carlos works with the On the Move Riders Program to empower older adults with the information and confidence to travel on fixed-route transportation. You will learn how to get a Senior TAP card, hear safety tips, and get your questions and concerns answered. A group of Village Members are planning to relaunch Travel Buddies with excursions on the Metro to downtown LA and beyond. Be sure to attend this presentation as using public transportation can be one tool in your wheelhouse in remaining independent. Free. Registration required - limited space.
If you have any questions please contact Bruce Christensen whose information can be found in the Membership Directory or in the comments below.
