This is a fun, energetic, urban hike in the Arroyo Seco exploring seven pedestrian entry/exit points between the Colorado Street Bridge and the John K. Van de Kamp Bridge (previously the La Loma Bridge).
We’ll cover a loop of approximately 3.5 miles as we snake up and down the east side of the Arroyo, walk through the beautiful California Terrace neighborhood and turn around at La Loma Road, returning on the west side of the Arroyo.
There will be hills and stairs. Please bring water and wear sturdy shoes. If you use hiking poles, consider bringing them for help with balance on the hilly parts.
We will meet at 8:00AM and start the hike from the large lawn area south of the Rosebowl Aquatic Center parking lot.
This public walk is part of Walktober, an annual event to get people walking in Pasadena. Pasadena Village is proud to again partner with the nonprofit Day One to present this free walk.
Please contact the organizer, Jane Hufnagel, with any questions.
