The Legacy Project is a community initiative led by the Trauma Resource Institute (TRI) that brings together older adults in a journey of healing, creativity, and remembrance. The Legacy Project helps rebuild connections by inviting participants into guided, compassionate conversations about meaningful memories—holidays, family milestones, traditions, and the moments that shaped who they are.
Together, participants create scrapbooks, story collections, and memory albums that honor the beauty of the past and the courage shown through loss and recovery. More than an opportunity to remember, the Legacy Project preserves personal and community history for generations to come, ensuring that the experiences of those impacted by the fire remain a treasured part of the Dena collective story.
